turbo II has been in need of attention the past few months and im finally getting around to it.
first i was having oil pressure concerns.
had 35psi cold at idle and 15psi hot at idle.
and 45psi cold cruising and 25psi hot cruising.
so i want to find out what was going on. i figured i replace bearings and oil pump. and i needed to do a clutch. so i pulled the engine.

and for about 4 year now i have been collecting parts to do the 5 lug swap. i had spindles, hubs, rotors and calipers from a SN95 (f4 spindles and 96 hubs and brakes)
i was searching for a 5 lug rear. my friend nate had one. well two.. one out of car and one in a car he was going to be putting an IRS set up in.
so i took the rear out the car he was working on.
he bought it with a 5 lug swap, it was thndr306's car. its a TC rear with sn95 axles and rotors and calipers.
nate also had a new set of sn95 front control arms so got them from him too.

i was in an accident in oct 2004 with the car and the right strut tower has always been a lil off. so Saturday my friend Chris is gonna put it on the frame rack and get it straightened out for me.
i also got a K-member from nate ( he put in a tubular k-member in his car.
cleaned up

after POR 15
http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a71/BJL...48_614.jpg

i started on monday and had the engine out tuesday. saturday i por 15'd the k member and power washed the engine bay.
i hit a few chipped on the header and my shabby prep work when i painted it showed it face.

not a big deal tho.
so i finished cleaning the engine bay

http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a71/BJL...09_883.jpg

i needed to get a lug stud for the one hub i had so while i was going to the bank i stopped at the parts store and got a lug and new cigarette lighter (mine doesn't work and my phone likes to be charged ) so all is good so i get in my 87 Tbird aka Turbo 3 and notice this.

somebody hit my mirror and took a chunk.
o well. not a big deal. head back home and as im working on the other car i notice a strange reflection on turbo 3 on the left rear quarter. it cant be a reflection the car isnt shiny. so i look at my broken mirror and back the quarter panel.
http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a71/BJL...13_920.jpg
they side swiped me good, got my quarter panel too. SOB. o well... guess something else to fix.. from what i hear the street i parked on is getting heavy 18 wheeler traffic recently due to construction and its a narrow road... o well.

so that my past week of TC adventures, lol.
ill post pictures on the frame rack this weekend!

Well you're havin some fun! You're going to need a bigger band aid for that quarter panel! I still got your other set of followers in the car... keep forgetting to ship them back.

i at time lose my motivation but luckily i have enough friends that can get me back and going!

Why don't you like the POR 15? Just curious... I've never used it.

i used the black on the k-member, worked amazing!
i used the gray on the chassis... it doesnt stick to old paint or smooth areas. i didnt use metal ready on the gray stuff and should have. so its not as good as i thought. for parts it great.. but big stuff i dunno. the gray didnt layer as nicely. its more my fault... but its different then what im used too.
im sure it will help prevent more rust from forming but doesn't look pretty. they say you can top coat it but that will take a lot more time. i was hoping for a 2 birds with one stone.. im limited on time now.
i have to order the rest of my parts this weekend and reassemble the car cuz we are taking it on the trip to martinsburg, wv for the summer blast MAMN12 show. so i cant just sand it down and paint it now...
its works great if you have time and it everything clean and in pieces... it cures strong... hope it works or my car will rust from the inside out.
