For all the sweet aero looks and high tech options of the 87-88's, the four eyes sure are easier to live with on a daily basis
1988 turbo tbird, 5spd, 140k, all stock except boost control valve.
1986 dodge omni glh turbo, 111k, my money pit.
1989 mustang Lx 5.0 convertible, tropical yellow/ tan interior, 1of only 144 made, 164k, aod, all stock including overheating TFI!
89 Jaguar XJS convertible, LT1 conversion, now fighting the prince of darkness (aka Lucas electronics)

I wet sand them by hand first 1000 then 2000 and bust out the buffer
They usually come out real nice

I also do the sand and buff and wow they come out real good
I bought a set used a while back that had the inside perfect, a lot of oxidation but no yellow at all (GOOD!!!), after 600 through 3000 grit and polish they looked brand new.
I now have those on my tc
For those who also do this, I recommend a permanent coating to replace the uv protection that is now long gone
I use optilens and it's hands down some of the best stuff on the market for headlight/plastic protection
