So I had the clutch done about 863 Miles ago. It grabbs great, shifts smooth, but again, I have a problem.
The chirping is driving me NUTS!!! It started after about 100 miles and has progressively got worse as ive put miles on it. Along with the Chirp, it also now rattles at times while idling. And as always, press the clutch slightly, and it all goes away. I gave it some time to seat proporly, but it hasnt obviously. SO.... I'm SOL I guess. I know, I know, I can spray some lube on the fork to quiet it down temporarily, but i want a permanent fix. The TOB is new, the Pilot bearing is new. the input shaft sleeve is smooth without grooves and burrs, and pretty much everything is new. Except that damn clutch fork. Also, everything including the ball stud was proporly lubed with a good moly grease to prevent other noises....
Any Ideas?? Its going back in on Wed. to get back on the lift for troubleshooting and hopefully a fix...so any suggestions will help. Thanks...and yes, I already searched this. Are the clips on the fork actually neccisary, or are they just for holding the TOB during the intallation process? My mechanic cant recall if they were actually present, but he said that the forked looked to be in very good shape.
