For the TC, at any rate. I'm getting an Gillis adjustable boost valve right away, so I can turn it up a bit this summer, and have some fun. My only choice now is,

Should I get the dual stage boost valve kit, or get just the valve and replace the stock air box with a 6" K&N cone? One will give me the option of better fuel milage when I need it, and the other will just give me more power, at all times.

I know the TC's have dual stage boost, by switching to Premium fuel. I really like this option, and I can feel the difference in the seat of my pants when I throw the switch. But I can't help but feel the extra 8-10hp from the cone would make me forget about stock settings for now.

Want to have some fun? Or save some gas? Or stay
emissions inspection compliant? Get the 2 Stage
Boostvalve kit! Keep you factory BCS intact and install
this with the Gillis valve hidden and switch between the
2 settings at your own will! (Switch not included) Stay
Inspection compliant, keep the boost low for gas
savings, and when that 5.0 Stang or fart-canned Honda
pulls up next to you switch to your Boostvalve in-car
and blow their doors off!

$89.00 Complete kit, plus shipping

Guys I know online say around $50 US for the cone.

Oh, and it's good to be back. I've been lurking for a few days, and I forgot how civil this board is.

MHO - Get a K&N cone, mount it in the fenderwell (cold air always) *and* get the Gillis valve. If you do a little fab work yourself, it'll probably cost you less than $100 (US) and you *will* notice a difference!

Whatever you decide, good luck and fast spooling!

I agree with Joe. The K&N I have in the front of my fender was like 70 bucks and real easy for the decent return in power.

Thanks guys. I just ordered the cone filter. $42 CAD + tax by this afternoon. [Image: smile.gif]

That's all I can do for this week. My allowance is only $100 every two weeks. [Image: frown.gif] If I can be stingy enough, I'll be good for the two stage kit come early April.

The home renos should be done by the end of March, and the rest maybe mid april. That's going go give me about two weeks with nothing to do until the baby gets here in May.

I know it's been a while, so I'll just give you guys all the updates. Ange and I got married August 7th, and we're due to have our first May 6th. (do the math. It pretty much happened the wedding night). We're now renovating the house, top to bottom, finishing the garage, and landscaping the yard so we can sell the house and move home to Nova Scotia. We're obviously new to the baby thing, and having grandparents close by is invaluable.
