Well the bird is dead. been though everything i can possibly think of and the only thing i am sure of is there is a bunch of crap down in the oil pump from the 2 distributor gears that have been chewed up in the last week.
Can anyone recommend a good rebuild kit? I was looking at this one from flatlander racing.
1038T-HP Ford 140 2.3
1983-89 3.779 Stocking or custom forged pistons in any compression, rod or stroke w/moly rings, Fel-Pro gaskets, main, rod & cam bearings, brass freeze plugs, High Volume oil pump, lifters, timing set, performance wrist pins (no cam)
Its pricey but good quality parts. My cam has some mild wear but nothing i am worried about. I found another motor in a junk yard that is going to be my core for 200 bucks. This is going to be my first rebuild is there anything else i am going to need that i am overlooking? Going to take me about 6 months to get the money around for it so i have plenty of time.
