I'd like to get a Motorcraft battery for the 78K mile bird...to keep things original. I didn't find the part number in that forum. Anyone know it by chance? Is Ford the only place I can get an original battery?

I replaced my 1988 TC ( 5 Spd ) battery with a Motorcraft

Series BXT65 ( 850 CCA ) - Perfect Drop-In fit -

Looks good - Black case.

Cost $130.30 ( Incl Sales Tax ) From my local Ford Dealer

Hope that is of some help
