well - my fans are still not working - however - even still with the code scanner on - they will not work. When I turn on the A/C - neither fan will come on nor does the compressor kick in. Could this be the IRCM? Does anyone have an IRCM (good one) they can send me so I can try it out and if it works - I'll buy it???

If you remove the connector to the ECT and jumper it and start the engine - do both fans come on?

If the outside temp is under about 35 deg, the A/C compressor will never run because the system pressure is too low to turn on the cycling clutch pressure switch (the switch that sticks straight up out of the accumulator. The EEC only turns on the main fan when the A/C clutch to turns on.

If you pull the connector off the cycling clutch pressure switch, and short the 2 terminals in the connector, the A/C clutch will engage, and the main fan should run. DO NOT LEAVE THIS SWITCH SHORTED FOR MORE THAN ABOUT 30 SECONDS!

DId you ever try to run the fans off the battery with jumpers to be sure the motors are OK?

when i started using this code scanner the other day - I had no problems running koeo and the fan came on and ran during the entire test - later in the day when the car cooled off the 4 passenger side fan never came on again. I removed the ect connector (which is a bitch)jumpered it and with the koeo the fans did not come on. When I use the code scanner now for koeo (battery fully charged) I hear some rapid clicking and the drivers side fan jogs a bit but no primary fan. The temp was 55 today so I was thinking the a/c shoud have been able to come on.
