I was wondering if anyone know if there is same size on the 1985 power moonroof from a anniversary car as the 87-88TC moonroof??

The sunroof is missing:/
1985 Turbo coupe 71,000 miles Medium Red Metallic with Gray cloth interior, all option except leather and passenger power seat. All stock. But unfortunatly she has bad rust.

1988 Turbo coupe 88,000 miles Sandalwood with base leather seats, all option except moonroof and passenger power seat. Bone stock.

1985 30th Anniversary T-bird.

I don't know about the sizes, I could measure my '88 roof.

New seals, as taken from the TC FAQ at the top of the page, common problems area, titled sunroof leaks, can be found here:

My '88 measures approx. 34 1/4" side to side by
20 1/2" front to back in the center. The front bows to match the roofline. I measured at the outside edge of the chrome ring.

Only the 87-88 Tbird/cougar have FACTORY MOONROOF OPTION. Know that being said. 85 car may have a option factory sunroof. Supposedly late 86 tbird/cougar was to have the factory moonroof option. But nobody seems to have one. I have a new car book from 86 stating the moonroof as an option.

Im not sure if the sunroof doctor website will be much use.

Good luck,

Travis

I used the sunroofdoctor seal a few years ago. It's a little different than factory. I still have to give it a push to get it started as it is a VERY tight seal. Nice part is zero wind noise. I used to get a puddle on the back floor whenever it rained. I learned something else... There is a drain tube that clogs. Get the front of the car up a little, like start up a driveway or something, doesn't have to be much, just have the rear aiming down a little. Open the roof and pour some water in the channel on the pas side. If the drain is clear, the water will run out the bottom of the car right in front of the pas side rear tire just about as fast as you can pour it in. If nothing comes out, or it just drips a little, get in there with an airgun, find the opening at the back of the roof, and start blowing and watch 20 years of dust and crap come flying out. I don't remember if it drains from both sides or not but definitely from the pas side. Try some water on the drivers side and see what happens. May be one on that side also or it may all run down the pas side. Try this before you replace the seal. Seeing how the water runs out, I'm assuming it was never meant to be totally water tight.

The wind noise is what bothers me.
