Hey guys, i have a problem. i finally got my TC running after a long time, i blew my head gasket some time ago... but after putting everything back together and figuring out the timing it runs ok, except for a misfire at idle, not all the time though, just randomly miss every couple seconds. If i rev it it doesnt miss and after coming back down to idle it doesnt miss for about a minute then back to it. I dont really know what to do, my friend tells me the timing if of, but i think if it was it would miss all the time. Someone else tld me maybe a dirty\clogged injector? Any ideas would be great, thanks.

I had this problem before, and seem to have to have it now again. First it was after a headgasket swap, not its after installing the same motor in a different car with new seals all over.
The first time (and this time, I suspect) vacuum lines were to blame. When it revs the air mix is greater, so a slight leak won't matter much (no miss). At idle where it is flowing less air a slight leak tweaks the idle mixture a proportionally larger amount.
Check for vacuum leaks, in other words.

ok ill have to check it out, what do you think are vacuums that are commonly missed? which is the one you missed?

Check them all, especially the hard plastic ones

Agreed on the hard plastic ones. Pete mentioned it in the past several times: plug off one line at a time at the vacuum tree till you narrow down where the miss is. Then you can isolate the cause.
