As soon as the key is turned on and the fuel pump is activated there is a major gas leak somewhere in the vicinity of the rear wheel. The fuel filter is ok and is not leaking. This leak is approx. 1 to 2 feet above the fuel filter toward the gas tank. It appears as though there is a quick disconnect of sorts that it is leaking from but I can't tell. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You will have to drop the tank.

I had the same problem when I bought my car. I tested it by dropping the tank to the ground with all the connections still intact & turned on the key. Man what a spray of gas out of the metal lines from the fuel pump bracket. The pump was fine but while I had it down I replaced it with a Walbro 255. I did not want to do it agin in a couple of months, plus I was planning on make a few mods for more fun power.
First, spray the bolts for the tank straps with PB Blaster & drain the gas out of the tank. Leave about 2 - 3 gallons in the tank for the test so its not so heavy when you take is down. Good Luck.

Now I need to finish converting to Raven/Gray Leather interior & just do some Body work & she'll be like new.

Same problem, but only when I filled the tank. Turns out I was over-filling it. Could be you emissions thing, but what do I know?
