Aside from some old eibach part numbers and people using the FMS "c" or "b" springs (NOT RECOMENDED ON THE REAR) I came up with the same results.

Then don't use the 4 cyl springs on the front.....They are soft...

I'm guessing you're asking about the fronts on the 84-86 XR-7

Yes, they are progressive.

Im also considering coil over coversion.. its really not that expensive anymore

ok ive came to the conclusion that the best idea for the front springs will be a mustang coilover coversion kit with 400lb springs... what you think?

I think that a lot of people have asked questions about lowering their TC's, but very few have actually done it.

I think that some people have used the information provided in threads to lower their car, but NEVER go back and post to their thread with the precise results of their efforts, and post results.

I think this adds to the confusion of guys like you, that are really trying to search, and find threads where others took information for free, but decided not to give any back, so there is no confiming data to convince us that the info provided is correct.

I think Chuck W is the ONLY guy that understands the springs for these cars, and I would read everything he writes on the subject here and at http://www.foxtbirdcougarforums.com/ Wink

I think there is one very good thread somewhere here with a manufacturer that will make custom springs for you to lower your TC. This is really the only option short of NOS or used springs.

I think any post that does not include a final update with results should be deleted so you dont have to read it in your searches.

I think I'm done Wink
