I was just wandering around in Autozone today and I thought i would ask before spending my money on somethin not worth getting....couldn't you just buy some type of Off Brand Drop Block kit as long as it fit for the rear of the TC?? Just thought I'd ask and sorry if it's been asked!!

I've heard of these things they sell at Advanced Auto Parts that you put on the spring, it acts like a spring compressor and holds the spring in a compressed state to lower your car. Its the cheapo way to lower you car, and it will ride so shitty you'd probably take them off in a week. Also since they are compressing your spring in a wierd way, I wouldn't doubt they would easily damage your springs.

On a previous Tbird I cut the stock springs two coils. Lowered it about right and stiffened it up. Didn't kill the spring temper like heating them up does.
Not as good as lowering springs but it does work.

Yep, you can cut a couple rungs safely with a zip wheel on a mini grinder.
Doesn't get too hot and won't hurt spring unless they are progressive wound.

I think the best idea for lowering the car so far is the 4banger stang springs up front with some stiff struts...or PRC set to firm, and the Kenny Brown Track Axle Brackets in the back and stock TC springs...
Also maby some 50 series tires?

On my car I used shortened V-8 springs in front and Belltech in the rear.
It dropped it about 1.5"-2"
I did measure but forgot the actual #'s
Handling is great and ride is not too harsh, although I want to fix the bump steer that fox bodys suffer from anyway.
