I was driving around today and I went to accelerate, and all I could hear was a loud buzzing noise, only when I accelerate. And I have no boost pressure at all. Is it my turbo? If so I'm torchin this POS. I just put a brand new turbo in it 8 months ago..please help

Sounds like a boost leak to me, check all the intake and vacuum hoses.

Mayby the overboost is malfunctioning and not letting it spool? is replacing the turbo all you have done? any aftermarket controls or anything? check the hoses like he said.how old is the car?

its an 88, 98k, bypassed boost control solenoid, no boost valve, was boosting to 17psi(not often), buzzing sounds more like a groaning, similar to a bad pwr steering pump.

Sounds similar to a noise I had. As soon as it hit 10 psi it would make a noise very much like an old fluorescent light ballast. It'd also miss a little and didn't pull like it should with high boost. Turns out the IAC was loose and only held on with one bolt, causing it to leak.
