I'm here in the frozen Tundra that would be Canada, more specifically Toronto!!! I am not native to Toronto so you shouldn't expect any of that legendary snobiness that comes from Torontonians [Image: smile.gif] I don't see many Turbo coupes around the city believe it or not...only 2 that I can recall in recent months and they were in desperate need of work. I'll send you an E-mail seperate from this post.

I don't post many items here in the forum section given that my car runs so flawlessly -- guffah, choke, sputter, laugh...yeah right I wish!

1999 Contour SVT
1987 Turbocoupe

There's at least 3 or 4 TC's running around in London that I see on a regular basis. My poor TC is is in indefinate hibernation until my financial situation improves though.

87 TC 5-speed Black, loaded. 17psi, G3 alternator, KB subs, Grant steering wheel, custom greasable swaybar bushings, K&N. Soon to have KB Trackit Axle brackets, Maximum Motorsports lower control arms, T-3, Saab intercooler, ranger roller cam Gen1 DSM BOV and rebuilt front suspension.

Yes, your Camaro just got spanked by a 4cyl!

There is only six of them around the Sudbury, Ontario area and two of them are mine. What is it with these cars? just one is not enough. I had bought a '87 for parts about 3 years ago for 1200.00 and I remember resisting the urge then to keep two of them.
I know 1200.00 is an outrageous amount to pay for a parts car but it's paid for itself three times over keeping my other '87 on the road. I paid 100.00 for my main '87. So now I buy an '86 for 200.00 that looks like It's in better shape than my '87 and it has half the mileage on it.I don't think I'll be able to bring myself to stripping this one down, It's a lot of work plus I had to live with the idea of sending a loaded TC to an early grave. The moral of this story is I have a yard full of TC parts

Hey all!

I'm new here and just picked up an '87 TC on
Saturday from a guy in Burlington (Ontario) for $900!

I had only seen the car once in the dark a few weeks back and it looks a lot better in the light. I'm actually surprised in what nice shape it's in! It has 188 000 km and from what I gather has a power driver's seat and premium sound system as options.

I plan on keeping it off the road for the winter and doing basic tuneup stuff and maintenance (leaky valve cover gasket) before putting it on the road.

Aldo

I'm in Niagara Falls, btw and haven't seen too many around here on the road. There was a white one a while back in a local wreckers as well as an '85 Merkur but I haven't been out there in quite a while.

Hey, do any of you have a Canadian version of the speedo? 87-88 TC.
I'd like to get one to replace mine that reads 85 MPH.
There use to be a cool guy on this site all the time, but he hasn't been on in quite a while. He lives in Canada and was looking for a speedo for me. Wish I could hear from him...Could you guy's keep an eye open for one for me?
Thanks
