Little plastic hose (heh)

There is a very small (like a plastic vacuum line) underneath where my VAM mounts on my 86 TC, it passes from the engine compartment to the wheel well right above the sway bar, crosses the inside of the wheel well to the back and disappears into that special void all cars have when you really want to track something down.

Anyway, due to it's location I assume it had something to do with the now deleted carbon canister, but due to the fact that it doesn't seem to leak any vacuum, and doesn't smell like gas -- I have no clue what this might be. Any ideas?

thanks

Where does the other end go? does it need to be capped off? Just concerned about any possible safety issues.

I believe the other end goes to the gas tank; plug it!

Wonder if it would be possible to track it back through whatever black hole it travels through on it's way back to the tank and get the whole line out. Those plastic lines get brittle just being used as vacuum lines, if this one is some how in contact with the fuel, I'm not sure I wanna trust just capping it in the engine compartment.

Anybody know where this line disapears to after it exits the passengers side inner fender? It's basicly at the same level as the upper door hinge when it disappears. I don't see it inside the car, or under the car. It has to be routed somewhere :/
