Can anyone who has installed a Bosch bypass valvepost or E/M me an exact list of parts and supplies I would need and some specific instructions?I THINK I want to tackle this project this weekend if it is something I can do outside.Besides I have to keep the real mods to a minimum I got a call from the Ford dealer and my timing chain is gone in my van,to the tune of $1122.00!!So much for .....well anything else for a while.

O.K. I took Jeff K's advice to someone else and did a search like I should have in the first place.I guess what I really need to know now is when I go to buy this bypass valve is it universal or do I have to ask for one for another car or what? Also, exactly what size fittings do I need?Do I need just some type of fitting that is big enough to fit a 1 inch hole and is threaded so I can somehow attach the 1 inch tubing to it?Finally, can the fitting I attach to the I/C be welded directly to it so it will be permanent and leak free?Thanx guys in advance for dealing with my redundancy!

On the IC, I drilled a 1" hole in it with a hole saw. I got a cast iron female pipe union, (3/4" NPT, I think) that would accept a 3/4" NPT copper nipple with a 1" straight outlet. I cut about 1/2" off the end of the female union, and welded 2 "L" brackets to it so the bottom of the "L" was parallel with the cut off face of the union. I drilled holes in these "feet", and screwed the assembly over the hole in the IC using large sheet metal screws. I then sealed it up with a lot of metal epoxy.
