I was looking at search for springs. One thing that they did not mention was the 84-92 Lincoln Continental (Non LSC) springs for replacement. They are heavy as the tbird and the same body platform. Has anyone tried this?????

If memory serves me right, the Lincoln Continental is a lot bigger car than the Lincoln LSC (which is the glorified T-Bird chassis). When I pulled the complete suspension from a 90' Lincoln LSC for my Bird several years ago. I had to adapt the front peices because of the LSC being air ride. The Mark VIII's also had air ride which they are a completely different chassis altogether. The MK VII's that I remember were long nosed 2 door cars and nothing like a T-bird chassis.

I will have to check again but it was a Lincoln Mark 7 without the LSC package. Looked exactly like the Mark 7 LSC in and out with no fancy rims or upgraded interior. It also had no air ride just springs and struts/shocks. Maybe they did not exist in US but they did in Canada???

Perhaps it was converted to coil springs in the past. Kind of a common thing....

82-87 continental was also a foxbody car. It wasnt really that big...

Before the Mark VII all the Marks were called continentals, Continental Mark IV, etc.

I stand corrected about. Sorry for the miss information.

Wayne, That's true, it could be a Canadian thing because of the colder temps in the winters up there. I would imagine that the colder temps would have an adverse affect on the air ride setup, as it seemed to be problematic anyways.
I would then assume that the springs would work in your Bird.

I found when I first changed my suspension over, the front lower control arms were longer than my T-birds and that the spindles were also different. I had to get the lower control arms for a 94' and up mustang to make it work. I later changed that to a coilover setup with tubular lowers.

Good luck and have fun Smile
