Lincoln calipers - How does it effect brake bias?

i was wondering how bad adding the 72mm lincoln calipers to my 87 tc would effect brake bias? would it put more stress on the front brakes due to the larger clamping force?

87 lincoln lsc front calipers... direct bolt on. but bigger piston size for better clamping surface... you have to use lincoln brake pads also

I used the Lincoln front and rear rotors when I did my 5 lug conversion. I never drove the car until that was finished, but it does stop well and I only spent $100 at the pullapart for the complete LS rear and the front brakes.

I dont know about you guys, but no car stops like my TC, and my back brakes aren't even that good. Whenever anything jumps in front of me and I slam on the brakes, my car stops on a dime with a very firm pedal. I dont know about brake fade though...

It would be cool to upgrade the brakes a little, maybe with those "green stuff" pads.

Only use Mark VII rotors if you plan on converting to 5-Lug. The 73mm calipers are a decent upgrade. Same as the SVO.

The calipers are an upgrade. No bias issues.

Just a note:

EBC only sells pads for the TC calipers, they make them in Green Stuf and Red Stuf. They also make cross-drilled and slotted rotors for front and rear, TC only (4-lug, ABS compatible).

NAPA has a new "performance" line for brakes. They make slotted rotors, front and rear, for both the TC and the Lincoln Mark VII (4-lug or 5-lug). Neither is ABS compatible. They also sell "reconditioned" calipers (again, front and rear, TC and Mark) and they only use OEM Ford calipers as cores. They even come with new slider pins and are VERY nice. There is a core charge, and they will not accept TC calipers as Mark cores, nor will they except any non-Ford core. They have Ceramic pads for all of the above that are extremely nice for daily-driver, occasional hard use cars. No good on an open track day, but great pads for everything else. NAPA also sells the 93 Cobra master cylinder for less then $125 if you want to retain proper 4-wheel disc proportion but lose the ABS.

Ok I thought I needed to swap everything along with the caliper.

So just the caliper is all I need thanks
