My new head is making a loud knocking noise. I have lots of compression on each cylinder, but I have this annoying ticking sound that makes my car sound like a VW bug. The head was ported and the valve seats hardened. It has all new seals and a used 91 mustang roller cam with brand new double springs. I checked the clearance between the lifters and the rollers and there isn't any clearance excessive play actually there is no play according to my feeler gauge. The only other thing that is used is the hydraulic lifters, so I am going to give that a shot unless anyone has a better idea. My question is what size lifter do I go to-stock, .010, .030, .060
