I still have the factory snowflakes on the 88 and am in need of some new tires to pass inspection. Should I stick with the stock 225/60-16's, or go with something larger like a 50 or 55 series? Right now the car is stock height, but looking to lower it this summer, maybe 3/4 coil drop. Still have stock brakes and spindles as well. I love the look of the classic bigger in back, but I can go with same size all around as well. Thanks for suggestions and ideas.

245/50/16 fit with little to no interference issues, and the diameter is darn close to stock so your speedometer will still read correctly. No clue if dropping the car will caue interference issues, but I doubt it.

Nice, that's good to know, I can get a used like new set with 2 in the size 245/45-16, and two more at 225/50-16. You think the 245/45 would fit the back and the 225/50 for the front? I still have the quad shocks on there too.

My guess is they would fit fine. I still have the quad shocks too, the my 245/50/16's fit with plenty of clearance for the quads.

I don't know if you can even fit a tire on the stock rim that would be large enough to interfere with the quads. :dunno:
