went to the mechanics (different one), had them check the system again and well can duplicate the ping in the shop, said it only last for 4 sec and since its such a slight one hard to diagnose. The timing checks out but everything seems to be leaning toward either a bad injector or fuel pump. Havent done a fuel pressure test yet but like a few of us talking today agreed on the price to do the test and maybe find the problem will cost me more than its worth to elimate such a slight ping. When i get to the states ill buy a performace fuel pump and injector set and i bet dollar to donuts the problem goes away.

You can buy a fuel pressure auge for about $40. Believe me, it will pay for itself 10 times over in helping make a correct diagnosis.

If you've got a little extra time or money. I'd clean out the gas tank or have it cleaned by a shop. You never know what kind of crap is lurking at the bottom of a 15 year old tank. Just a thought.
