hey there recently rebuilt engine, and had new turbo installed and the car lacks the oomph it once had ,cam timing is dead on,dist timing is dead on,fuel pressure at idle is ok 39-42,new dist complete, new wires, ngk resistor plugs, and flowmaster 2.5 inch exhaust but still has cat ,what would be causing the car not to create much boost off the bat im done scratching my head so i turn to you thank you

Causes of low boost.
1. Cam or ignition timing off
2. boost leaks - inter cooler hoses
3. clogged cat
4. Waste gate stuck open to some degree. Given a new turbo, this might be something to check.
5 Fuel problems

Have you bypassed the Boost Control Solinoid like with a Gillis Valve ?

What is your base ignition timing set to with a Timing Light and the Spout out ?

My initial guesses (like Pete said) would be:

Leaks in the hoses to/from the IC.

Timing is off (maybe your cam belt is off one tooth ?).

Drop the down pipe at the turbo and see if it runs any better, takes about 10 min and you'll know if its the cat.Does the exhaust manifold glow if you drive it,if so my bet would be the cat
