well, yesterday i took the TC out for a spin, had to go meet someone, and i tried to pull into a parking spot, and wasnt able to crank that wheel over fast enough
question is, does someone have a diagram of the power steering setup, the steering system is in tact, but the previous owner is a bonehead, he told me it blew a hose twice, so he just slapped another hose on and never put fluid back in it, so the pump is shot, and i dont know how the hoses are properly ran, or even what the factory hoses should look like

well, interestingly enough, i had about 4 or 5 quarts of ATF laying around, so i decided just to throw some in there and see what happens
the power steering works great, there isnt any visible leaks, but the pump is louder than the average ford pump, i figure im going to flush the system, throw in proper PS fluid, and use the lucas additive, and if the pump takes a dump, oh well

Sometimes the pumps will howl until all the air is worked out of the system. [Image: biggrin.gif]

well, its not really a howl, its the normal ford pump sound, just much louder, but who cares, the wheels move easily!

When I replaced my steering rack, and still after the power-steering system was bled for 15 mins the pump was stil quite a bit noisy. After a day or two of driving it must have worked all the air out of the system and the pump sounds like it normaly does. So maby a day or two of driving will handle the noisy pump.
