Needing a/c bad now we are in 99-100 deg heat. I got the eatc control system, and it feels like I have a lack of air flow from the blower motor. I removed the cover to inspect the blower, air intake and evap, from what i can see there is no retriction and the blower seems to pulling in a good draft. trying to borrow a bore scope to look down the vents to see the other side. Any thing else i should look at?

Is it lack of air flow FROM THE BLOWER or lack of air flow FROM THE VENTS?
If it's the vents then maybe one of the blend doors is not in the right position.

I'd say lack of air flow from the vents. I know the resert door is working, not sure on the other doors. How many are there in the evap case?
and is there an ez way to check if there working?

I also noticed the two vents in the center of the dash - the vent to the left has more air flow than the vent on the right. and the two vents on either end of the dash has alsmost no air flow.

Every one I have had puts more air through the center vents than the end vents. Are you sure the vents themselves are full open? They are adjustable for flow.

At the moment the dash panel is off, so there's no vent registers. I'm working on a way to repair the broken bolt holes on the dash trim panel. Got your email, thanks that helps a lot, now I need a cool day to check it out......

Interesting as I have the same problem but have just a regular control panel, no electronic control.
The PO changed the heater core and I was thinking they did not get it back together properly or something but am wondering now.
When in MAX mode you can hear the blower making plenty of noise but flow only changes slightly. It does cool the car but the flow just doesn't seem right. Don't remember that issue on my old '86 when it was new.

the 87 TC i just got has the same issue, but i CAREFULLY drill two 3/8 holes near the evap core on the blower side, with about 180psi blower and i've been covering my passenger floor with insulation, leaves and acorn pieces. since the car has been sitting since 2002 a few small animals made the evap case there home, i have better flow now, but still trying to get it all out. i bypassed the heater core for now since it was leaking and by fall ill take the dash apart and the box out to clean it fully. sounds like you guys have the same issue.
evap core dust build up, GM cars have a similar issue when dust builds up on the evap core and the moisture makes it still to it. all you hear is the blower screaming and nothing coming out
