It should be in the manual you hopefully recieved with the car. to clear it you probably just have to disconnect the battery and then reconnect. from what I remember my dad had to reprogram his code whenever the battery had to be disconnected. wish I could help more but my turbo coupe got a different option package than the old mans. gotta use the damn key to get in the car. can you believe that? j/k

I was under the impression that the code was permanent and not re-programable.That's what I was told anyhoo, but I was also informed(maybe mis-informed)that the dealer had a way of retrieving the original code when supplied with the VIN #.......I think....

Too much fun, what's that mean? That's like too much boost, there's no such thing.

You're part right. The primary code in the module is permanent from the factory.
However, you can program a second code and that is not permanent.
The primary code is on top of the module, on the deck lid hinge, and in the glove box i believe.

JT is correct except, if you find the code in the glove box it will be on a plastic card that was meant to be carried in your wallet. Only one of of the 6-7 keyless TC's I had still had it. Found it under the back seat.

Enter your code for your car then within 5 seconds press the 1/2 button, then within 5 second enter the 5 digit code you want. to erase this code press the original code i believe press button 1/2 and wait 6 seconds.

If you _really_ want to change the permanent keyless entry code, the Taurus module is probably similar or the same, and a SHO guy did a really good write-up on changing it. You'll need to be handy with a soldering iron, though!
