Installation of K&N cone

This is a very simple task. The cone is a universal K&N 6' cone. (Part #: RE-0930) It should be about $25-$35 depending on where you get it. First thing you will have to do is take out the stock air box. Everything up to the vane air box should be removed. Now you just have to put the K&N cone right onto the vane air meter. It's that simple. It's a pretty snug fit, but it does fit. The T-Bird and the SVO has similar setups, and the cone do fit on both cars. If you have a/c you might have to press the filter against the a/c lines. Congratulations! You've just created a home-made filter charger for a third of the price!

If you'd like to have the filter easier to take off or just doesn't want it in that place, you'll have to do some plumbing. I find a lot of good stuff at Home Depot, and I know that have nice things to route air with (hoses etc). A buddy of mine did that to his 5.0, and it came out to look really professional, for a fraction of what it would have cost to buy parts from some high performance auto dealer.
