That’s quite a stable you’ve got there, Mike, not to mention the other cars in the list!

Just curious and I hope you don’t mind me asking: Why all 1988 models? Is there a reason why you seem to prefer them, other than the newer model year and the few small refinements over the 1987 ones?

Another proud dues-paying member.

1987 Turbo Coupe w/T5OD, 8.8 axle, grey smoke; most options. Got it in 1991 with 41K miles: 3 turbos, 2 heater cores, 3 T5OD full rebuilds, 6 clutches, 1 head gasket, 2 Teves II ABS units, etc. later....

First new car I bought was a 1988 turbocoupe. I just have a soft spot for them.

'88 Charcoal/Blue TC, automatic (being swapped to a 5spd). 168,000+ miles and almost no rust!
Lost in translation..........
'88 TurboCoupe, Automatic, stone-stock (as I just got it) for now. Trying to get it back running and roadworthy before mods begin.

86 Blue 5 speed, bought as a demo in 86. Was a daily summer driver into the 90's. Have been having rad fan issues for several years. Tried repairs last summer, but still not working properly. Will probably look into a complete replacement this summer as over heating isn't a great option.

Six months ago I found an '86 TC 5-speed in gunmetal grey here in California I couldn't pass up...so it's my one and only. Miles are high, but it runs good for my DD.
