Congratulations on your new TC.

Not to sound too Fatherly...but just be careful as a new driver. Don't push the limits of you abilities. Even if you are a safe driver, you have to know how to be defensive because all of the other idiots on the road. TC's can go fast...just don't try and see how fast.

To post a picture just upload the file from your PC as an Attachment when you post.

Wow that looks nice. I was just wandering how much you payed for it if you don't mind my asking? Secondly try and keep the rubber side down [Image: biggrin.gif] and I hope you enjoy owning a Turbocoupe as much as everyone else on this board does! [Image: smile.gif]

Hope you mean 2,600. Otherwise you didn't do a good job of jewing him down. [Image: biggrin.gif] I am 15 1/2 also and I only get the pleasure of driving my brothers Turbocoupe when he lets me. You are very fortunate to be able to afford two cars at only 15 1/2.

WOW, that is a clean TC! My black paint is only a year and a half old with a clear coat and yours look just as nice. If that is the original paint, you can bet the original owner took real good care of that bird! Mine is an 86 5 speed and is in the showroom if you want to take a look. For some reason the pictures in the showroom look real JAGGY but you will get the impression. Also I would love your rims on my TC, but that yellow vanilla roma air freshener on the rear view mirror has to go...LOL. I have the red tree hanging on my mirror, I think it is spice or something like that. Real nice car you got, and all the best of luck with it.

Roy.

1986 TurboCoupe 5 speed. All blacked out paint on the outside, two tone grey leather on the inside. My 86TC has 135k original miles. So far I have done the following to the car: New Black pearl paint with a clear coat, (grill, molding, and emblems also painted). No red stripes!LOL. New two core radiator, 180 degree stat, hoses. Gabriel struts up front, YST heavy duty rear shocks, and Monroe sway dampners. Brakes (front and rear). New clutch (complete). New cat. New aquaflow GTX performance tires. New windshield, and many other smaller items like master cylinder, oil sending switch, sensors, etc. The car is in the showroom, but you can get a much better look of the interior, exterior and engine here -> http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view...&members=1

WOW that is nice, it has the red interior in it. Never seen it in a black TC. Just like tan leather in a black TC. Congrats and please drive responsible.

How come all the awesome looking TC's are in Ohio? I've never seen a TC that looked half as good as your's in NJ, let alone for that price (I payed $1200 for mine with half the things broken, dents, ugly wheels, and 124k miles). And yeah, I think you are the youngest poster here (i'm only 19 and got my TC about a year ago). And please do heed the warnings of some of the other posters on this board about being careful with your TC......they can make a lot of power and it comes on very suddenly after 2500k rpm or so. I also suggest driving like an old lady in the rain.....~200hp + rwd + no weight in the rear end = big trouble.
