It wasn't psychotic after all!

I posted a question about a recent addition to my family. It is an 88 t-coupe. It was cutting out, idling erratic, and not getting full boost. Well...I believe I/we figured it out.

The car had a major vacuum leak (explains why the old plugs looked white and blistered). After I plugged it, I drove it and the miss was CONSIDERABLY better! Once I got it home, I opened the hood again and noticed a hissing noise. It turns out that one of my injectors is leaking (hence, the smell of fuel from the engine bay!). I am assuming that the rest of the miss is because of that. Right? Also, is there just an O-ring I can replace or is this an excuse to go ahead and upgrade to larger injectors? I have not replace the Bosch wires yet, but I will get the new ones tommorrow (Friday) and put them on the car.

Thanks for the suggestions and help with this minor problem. I look forward to starting to turn everything up!

Have a good day!

You have to find out why/where the injector is leaking. It might be just the O ring and it might be the injector itself.

What makes you think you need to upgrade the injectors. I don't know what mods you have but the stock injectors are good to near 300 HP and your going to need an aftermarket management system, of some sort, to really run anything bigger.
