...got an unusual problem, to me anyway. driving to work yesterday, i'd make a turn and turn on the blinker. well, it would light up in the dash but not blink. hmmm, i thought. must need a new flasher. so then later i blow the horn...errrrrh. very weak sound. hmmm, says i. must have lost one of the horns. so i get to the interstate, put it on cruise. day is warming up, so i thought i'd roll down the windows. hit the button to roll them down, and the radio cuts off. let off the switch and it comes back on. now i'm thinking, what??? so i hit the blinker again. when i do it cuts the cruise out until i let up. blow the horn, does the same. soemthing electrical i'm sensing. altenator prolly. so i make it to work, as a tech or two, yeah, prolly alt. so i get a new one. ok, a reman. put it on. no help. add a regulator. no help. so now i need help!!! anyone seen or heard of this before and a cure??? i'm stumped. and oh, by the way, this is on my '86 TC with an automatic. also, i had a guy take off my old altenator. he cant remember which terminals the two wires went too. the one with the eyelet is to the batt terminal, but then you have stator/field/and ground on the case. only two wires. one looks to be O/BL and the other BL/Y or BL/W i've switched them around and cant figure which is which and i dont have a EVT manual for it. any help is appreciated.......
thanks.

-found it!!!! the connector coming from the main engine harness, where it has a 2-prong connector that leads off to the altenator had completly fell apart over time. looked to be a combo of heat and age, as the connector crumbled when it was moved, thus not making good connections and the altenator didnt know what to do. removed the connector and
straight wired it to the altenator and voila! charging.
