is my ignition going, or is it a fuseable link?

my blower fan for my air venst stopped working about a week ago. it was on when i stopped the car, but when i left work and truned the kay back, no workie.... what gives? is there a fuse in the box for just that, because thats all i lost was the blower fan, nothing else went. is this a problem with the little lock switch on the column, or is this a fuse porblem???

Did you loose all 4 speeds, or does it just work on high? If it just works on high, likely cause is a blown blower resistor. If it quit on all 4 speeds, check fuse 9, 30 amp. I THINK that the only thing that fuse 9 feeds is the blower. If the fuse is blown it is possible that the blower motor is drawing excessive current due to bad bearings, etc.

Jeff's is correct. The blower is the only thing on fuse 9

fix the ignition switch, I gave you instructions to do it. they are cheap and you can get them from anywhere. and if the blower doesnt work then post the same question twice. in the previous post you said you changed it. But i dont understand why you are asking the same question. If you did change it and your blower fan still doesnt work then Im sorry for being snipy. But you shouldve rephrased your topic title to blower doesnt work .

nah, its ok trash. that was on a different car. this is my goldbird. and this isnt everything in the interior, this is just the blower fan motor. i think ill go check the fuse now. post to follow of results.

dont wanna steal your thread but mine only works on high, where is the blower resistor located?

it was the fuse. and no..high didnt work either...it was dead. but its good now. but for how long.....muahahaha!!!

Nsw...resistor is behind glove box and to the left... if you have buttons for the trunk and gas door release its almost a straight line from them behind the glove box...has a white connector and the resistor is mounted long ways top to bottom...
