You absolutely have to run a thermostat, no "ifs" "ands" or "buts". Then you to address the non-working fan problem and get everything back to stock.

Next you invest in an aftermarket coolant temp gauge as the factory is about as useful as an "idiot light". Mine always runs at the top of the scale when sitting in traffic, with a thermostat and both fans working.

The "bubbling" in the hose is your coolant boiling. You're on a one way ticket to a cracked head / blown head gasket in the near future.

I agree. Also, do you hve the black plastic air dam in place? It will run hot on the highway without it.

Pete, do you know if an air dam from a regular tbird will work on our cars? Mine is missing and I'd imagine finding a turbo coupe specific part might be hard to find.

Redbone, Vinnietbird posted this thread about a replacement option. I saw it in person and it looks great.

Also, if you don't want to spend alot on an aftermarket coolant temp guage, just get a Mr. Gasket Thermostat radiator cap. I use one just as a check for my guage which works OK I just don't trust it.
