Is ayone running bigger throttle body?

Is anyone running a bigger Throttlebody on their TC? I checked the Rothfam website and it looks very doable. Just wanted to see if anyone else has tried it. It doesn't look like a noticeable hp gain but does it improve throttle response? Any ayes or nays?

OK, I have no personal experience with a bigger throttle body on 2.3T's, but from what I've learned from other boards and many people who have done a 60 or 65mm upgrade, the throttle response is drastically better, but that's about it. It'll feel quicker, but probably won't be noticeably quicker. Why you might ask? Because unless the stock throttle body was the smallest part of the intake tract then it isn't a flow restriction. Unless you put a monster compressor on the turbo, the compressor's discharge is going to be the smallest part. Hope this helps you. FWIW I'll be using either a 60mm (stock 94-95 mustang OR Super Coupe will work for us) or an aftermarket 65mm (for a 94-95 stang). 87-93 TB's have the idle control valve on top when mounted on our intake, where the 94-95 and SC throttle bodies have the same orientation as ours. Thanks for the response. I have a chance of getting a 94-95 60mm stock mustang throttle body. I was just wondering if is worth to put on. If its not going to hurt anything, i might as well try.

Definitely won't hurt anything!! Don't waste your $$ on the Tiny Avenger adapter plate (if you are capable of a little *ahem* backyard fabrication). The holes on the throttle body can be drilled to match up w/ the threaded holes on your intake, then just figure out some way of mounting your throttle cable. Go to turboford.org and search for the subject. Plenty of info there. Later.

Is the Tiny Avenger adapter plate not worth the money? I was going to get one from him. And I do have a bigger Turbo to put on. The compressor is .80 a/r. If that doesn't work I have a stock T3 to put on, plus I have two IHI's. So its pretty simple to make your own adapter plate?

Is the Tiny Avenger adapter kit really a waste of money? I was thinking of going there first to get it.
I am planning on running a bigger T3 with a compressor size of .80. If that doesn't work I do have the stock T3 to use instead. I am currently running the IHI turbo. Is it really easy to make he adapter?

You ask about making the adapter, but there's no need for any adapter is all I'm saying. Redrill the holes on the throttle body to match yours, then adjust the throttle cable as needed. The plate is nice if you have extra $$ just buring a hole in your pocket, but it's not needed. It makes it so that no drilling is required and the cable bolts up nice and easy. Like I said, depends how much extra $$ you have, how good of a *ahem* "rigger" you are, and if you just really want a nice shiny adapter plate. Later

I didn't mean to come across like I was yelling, sorry for the triple posts as well. Thanks for the info Grant. I do have a few extra intake manifolds, so if I mess it up the first time, I won't kill myself. By the way does the Turbocoupe's IAC and TPS sensor fit in the 94-95 Mustang 60mm? I think the TPS is the same I am not so sure about the IAC.

I *believe* the TPS and IAC for the 2.3 will work just fine on the stang TB, but search at turboford.org to make sure. You'll find all your answers there. Do you have a spare inline intake laying around to donate for some experimentation?? Later
