Interesting results, wipers won't park- New Update

After driving home with the wipers not parked and in my field of vision, I decided to replace the wiper motor.  I have to say, it was not easy for me.  I read the Haynes manual, and it was incorrect.  There is no reason to remove the wiper from the shaft.  I figured that out without wasting too much time.  I broke one of the clips on the connector.  I think my biggest problem was that I could barely reach the assembly on the inside.  I had to find tools that were long enough and gave me leverage.  But persistence paid off.  Now the wipers work and park!!

I had both the chiltons and Haynes manuals and they were not much help at all. The worst part of the whole job was getting the clip on and off at the linkage. Pretty much just have to do it by feel. I was pretty sure I had mine on but it seems to have disconnected and I'm going to have to try again.

This really is a job where you learn by doing—get as many pictures as you can, and take notes. I would not want to do this replacement any more than necessary.
