Will a ranger 2.3 intake set-up fit on the 87-88 engine? i'm looking into adding an intercooler, but don't like putting my car out of comission for any period of time, and I figure the ranger 2.3 would be easy to find in the local j/y.

I don't think the ranger will be drilled for the ACT, I got a late 80s na mustang engine and the intake doesn't have the hole for the ACT. Wouldn't be that hard to do. Not sure about other differences. Remember the 87-88 turbo intakes are shorter than some others for hood clearance
