Installing tension belt assembly

need help on installing new tension belt assembly. basically any information will help due to the lack of information my chilton repair manual has.

actually I am referring to the spring belt tensioner on my 88TC. basically it is the spring loaded assembly w/pulley that is used when removing/installing belts. the coil spring has started to give and now the belt is about 1/4 outside or exposed and not not completely covering flat pulley surface.

If that is what is happening, you will have to replace it.

It's really simple to replace, all you have to do is take the belt off, and remove the bolt from the back side of the tensioner assembly. Pull off assembly and replace with new one. rockauto.com has them for around $50, not ford, but dayco, gates, etc.
