Installing Solid State IVR

I'm in the process of putting a 140MPH speedo in my TC and decided to install the solid state IVR I bought on ebay a while back. I want to make sure I get the wiring right. After looking at Jeff's article and and doing some continuity testing it looks like the 12V(black wire} in to the IVR comes in on the left hand connector in the first photo,

and the 5V output(red wire) to the instruments is the right connector. Does this look correct? Anyone know for sure? When I know for sure , I'm going to cut the spade connectors off and wire solder the IVR wires to the 9v battery type connectors so I wont have any splicing.

Here is a photo of the IVR unit mounted on the bottom of the instrument cluster housing.

I THINK that is the correct way, but you may want to use a DMM and verify the wires go where they are supposed to. I usually power up a cluster with a 12 supply (or a old but operationanl car battery) and use a 22 ohm resistor to mimic the OP, fuel and temp gauge senders to be sure everything is working correctly before installing. 22 ohm should make each gauge read right in the middle.
