That was my 88 parts car. It has 220K miles, 2nd owner bought it used in 1989 with 5K miles on it. The other side go hit by an 18-wheeler, so it's toast. The burnout was with a broken piston too! I still have the car, it's the last whole TC left. We were turning it into a dirt track car until they outlawed turbo cars.

so what is stopping you from turning it into a dirt track car? just cus you cant run a turbo? I grew up around dirt track racing, and have quite a bit of knowledge for my age.At the age of 10-12 I could tell you who was cheating this week, who cheated last week, and who would most likely be cheating next week. Most people didnt think a 10 year old would know what they were talking about. I would walk thru the pits and casually check em out to see what they were changing after they were inspected by the track tech (my dad). I wouldnt think running a turbo car would be beneficial in dirt track racing. It all depends on your turbo set up, gearing, mods to motor, and track size. I may be wrong but in a short track like a quarter mile, you would lag lag lag comming out of the turns, then spool up maybe halfway down the straits, and spinn the tires the rest of the way down the strait. you would literally have to stay in the boost all the way thru the corners, while your spinning the tires, we all know even in dirt racing if your spinning your getting passed. I may be wrong, I know more about dirt track racing then I do turbos. What Type class were you going to run it in before they outlawed turbos?

off topic: Heres some pics in my photobucket, some as old as 1985, to about 1995, about the time my dad quit working at the track, But I would love to see a tc HObby stock car.

The local track had a class for dead-stock 2.5 or less 4-Cyl cars with a 108" wheelbase or less. Some guy showed up one day with a Turbo GT stang and blew everybody's doors off, so now it's an N/A only class. We keep trying to get them to do a 3.0 or less 6-Cyl/2.5 or less turbo class, but nobody else is really interested. That and the fact that the car kind "crabs" all over the place bent like that.
