Hey everyone my name is Daniel and I'm new to the forum I live in Bumpass Va (aka Lake Anna) I was just wondering if there was anyone on the forum that lives near and has any idea where to take my 88 tc for repairs and or tune?
By the way I do have two 88 five speeds one runs great and the other not so great!

Welcome to the board, Daniel. We actually have another member out there in Bumpass. Ricky03 lives out there. Try sending him a pm. Are you just trying to get it fixed or do you have some aftermarket hardware you want to tune?

Thanks for the quick response Brian I have a couple of issues first of all my 5amp fuse kept blowing to the interior light cluster (speedometer) out of frustration I put a 10amp fuse in its place and now the lights won't turn on nor did the fuse blow I guess I melted the wire .....not good...the other issue is after driving now I'm seeing smoke come from under the car it smells like oil burning ......

Check the valve cover gasket on the turbo side. It may be leaking on the exhaust manifold.

With the smoke coming from under the car it's also possible that you either have an oil pan leak or a rear main seal leak. Both of those can end up dripping on the exhaust pipe.
I had a Dodge Daytona in the 90's. Had a similar problem with the fuse blowing all the time for the brake lights. I (stupidly) decided that rather than getting it fixed I would replace the fuse with a self-resetting breaker. Well... that led to a several-hundred $$$ repair bill to fix the melted wiring that resulted. I hope your wiring is an easy fix!

OK is it possible for the oil dip stick to forced out under boost????

Yes on forcing the dip stick out. And the first thing you need to check is the PCV, the valve, it is probably allowing boost into the crankcase, blowing the dip stick out. It will sooner or later, start blowing seals and gaskets
Hold it straight up and down and try to blow through the small end. If it passes ANY air it's bad. Replace only with the Ford part (try Rock Auto) Ford P/N: E5ZZ-6A666-A (this is the correct p/n, 5/13/02) The Motorcraft box will also have EV-127-A on it
Many parts store PCVs don't stop boost from the crankcase. Use Motorcraft only
