Hey all. Im Wes Hammack. Im almost 26 and from southern Indiana. Im not a stranger to the forced induction birds, just new to the Turbo Coupe. A couple years ago i had a 93 SC....it was gorgeous...but it had an early end because of head gasket falure. So instead of fixin it, i parted it out through the forums of SCCOA.com, in which i used to be a member...i made my money back and then some on the car, and helped alotta guys with parts, but i wish i hadn't let it go so easy. So, in an effort to redeem myself, i aquired a decent runnin but overall rough 88 TC. Its original color was silver, somebody painted it blue and didn't jamb it! (yuck) It has dk blue and silver interrior, and cloth seats(which are in excellent cond). The door panels are basically GONE, the headliner is gross, Almost all the electrionics work(minus oil, temp, fuel guages) which i think is the voltage regulator. The engine and turbo seem sound, the T5 whines really loud, but shifts fine, but overall, its a decent car. Hopefully with time and good advice i can get this poor thing back to what it should be! Any input or parts assistance would be great! thanx guys!
Wes H.

Welcome...

I always liked the SC... never had one though... hate the motorized lap belt. The 94+ did away with that, but the body lookes better on the 89/90's.

Try some mobile-1 atf in the tranny... may quiet it down considerably.

Welcome.
Not sure on the tranny whine

If you need a cheap replacement, there are lots of non- distressed 4 cyl Mustangs that used the same WC T5. Do not pay a premium for a "TC" T5
