Im having trouble removing the hex plug for the coolant return on my '83 block. If I dont get it out, is there another location that I can tap into to drain the coolant? I was thinking the upper radiator hose or the line going into the heater core. Any thoughts?

i think what pete is trying to say, but is too lazy to do so, is "no, the coolant needs to go there for a reason. ford put it there, leave it there."
