My car would have trouble starting and would stall out and hestitate quite often. Thought it was due to the tps, but still the same after replacing it. Now if i start it and hold the key into position, meaning i cant let it move backwards after starting it will run perfect. Is this the ignition switch or the lock key cylinder? My ignition switch was replaced due to recall but could of gone bad again. I wanna drive this thing! I've had it for several weeks and have had nothing but problems with it. thanks for any input

Sounds like an ignition switch, they are notorious.

I used a good set of pliers to get a grip on the two screws. Someone else (Jeff K or Pete D, I think, I forget who,) once suggested using a dremel to cut notches for a standard screwdriver, thus making them reusable. They aren't that hard to get out using either method.

I ended up using a set of vice grips to loosen them up and the ignition switch was the problem. Now i can actually drive it without it stalling or bucking on me. thanks
