Does anyone know if the single wire that runs off the ignition lock cylinder is able to be replaced? Mine as turned to dust. I cant really find anything on it, its a single black/ purple wire that clips onto the lock cylinder.

I'm pretty sure that wire is only for the chime when the key is in the cylinder and the driver's door is opened... Nothing too critical unless you are forgetful Wink

Thanks for the info. Won’t be using it anymore unless I can make something work.

Mine worked so infrequently it was annoying, so I disconnected it for good. It does nothing else but what vegas suggested.

1987 Turbo Coupe w/T5OD, 8.8 axle, grey smoke; most options. Got it in 1991 with 41K miles: 3 turbos, 2 heater cores, 2 T5OD full rebuilds, 6 clutches, 1 head gasket, 2 Teves II ABS units, etc. later....
