If the car runs rich does that mean that it needs more air to compinsate for the fuel?? If it is running rich is there a way to control how much fuel goes in? Does the BCS have any thing to do with it running rich??

Or less fuel.

The computer is supposed to control and compensate by determining the mixture via the oxygen sensor.

I don't think so. First guess would be the VAM or TPS, but I'm not the expert. I solve the problems via the run-codes, repair, replace, post-on-this-board-if-I-am-confused, run-codes-again method.
Hope this helps.

If you are sure the car is running rich, I would check 2 things. One would be the fuel pressure. Too high of pressure will make it run rich. The second most likely cause would be a failed oxygen sensor. The car will go into the default open loop state if the sensor goes bad. Another possiblility is the TPS, as Mike said. Get a code reader, or, read in the FAQ's on how to down load the codes. Once you get the error codes, troubleshooting becomes much easier.
