If not using ride controller, what shock and struts should I use?

I don't know if the PRC is working or not in my car (It's torn apart right now) If they don't work, what struts and shocks should I use, and how do I disconnect the PRC? My wife works at Bilstein, so I can get shocks next to nothing.

If it's torn apart it probably isn't working. What is the functional problem? Ride too soft? Too hard?

So just unplugging the computer is ok? What manufactor do I use for the struts? Do I get them for a TC, or Mustang?

If you can't get tbird rear shocks, Mustang shocks will be too short unless you get a set of Chuck W's shock mounts... I think he is running a batch now so I would jump on that if you need some.

If your wife works at Bilstein, then you should be all set! If they don't still make anything for the tbird, you can get mustang stuff to work with Chucks rear shock mounts.

They have the rear shock, but no strut listed. So I guess I'll go with the rear for the Bird, and a front Stang. So what I have read, if I use the fox stang stuff I will get lowered. Is this correct? So if I use the fox spring and struts up front, and the fox spring in the rear, I wonder if the bird shock from Bilstein will be to long?

Using the mustang strut in front and the tbird shock in back will be fine. I think you misread the lowered information. The mustang strut works fine with a regular height or lowered tbird... it won't lower the car.

OK so if I do want lowered, I need to go with the stang lowering parts, not just the stock stang parts. Is this correct? I remember reading somewhere saying if you use the stang coils, it will lower the TC by 1.5". Due to the weight.

There is quite a bit of discussion on lowering... Your best bet there would be to search these forums for more information.

You might also consider new springs - yours are over 20 years old and they do slowly degrade and adversely affect ride performance. Also the rubber spring isolators are probably completely shot and also need replacement.
