I unhooked the battery for about 30 min and started it up got it warm then pulled the codes 11 does this mean everything is a okay????????
I REALLY HOPE SO GAS MILAGE WAS SUCKING HOPE THIS WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM...
ONE MORE ?? HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE TANK WHEN THE GAS LIGHT COMES ON?? JUST CURIOUS.

11 is the code for OK, Did you get an 11 for each of the 3 parts of the test? Clearing the codes is not going to change anything if it was running rich.

I don't know the specific value, but from what I can tell from the 1986 EVTM, it is going to have quite a bit of variance since it gets its data from the same circuit as the fuel gauge, IVR and all. So, it will come on at the same spot on the fuel gauge each time.

My gas light comes on at about 1/8 of a tank and im usually at around 300 milees on that tank by then, meaning i have about 40miles till it hits the E mark on the gauge and about 50 miles after that til it runs out of gas

Might be time for a tune-up. I changed my plugs and wires (after all of 10k miles), that restored a LOT of power and gas mileage went from about 16mpg to 18.5 in town. These cars have freakishly sensitive ignition systems.
