Well I finally put my old ihi back on my tc and it runs a whole lot better than my t3/to4e ever did, I don't understand why, my motor is all stock, but it ran 14.1 with stock ihi and I think I might just add 3 inch downtube, bigger fuel pump, and front mount intercooler and leave it alone, ever since I put t3/t04e on the car I've had nothing but problems, the engine was making less power than with a tiny ihi ( my brand new stock clutch would slip in 4th and 5th gear at 3k and 4.5k rpm with ihi, but with t3/to4e it wouldn't do anything), the car runs so good the way it is right now pretty much stock I don't want to mess it up. OH and one more question, can I by pass the egr valve some how, make a plate and cover the hole up and plug the exhaust manifold.

Thanks a lot.

You need to tell us a little more about how your turning 300 HP times on a turbo, that at best, might support 250 HP in a modified engine. Are those actual, time slip in hand, quarter mile times. I'm not saying you didn't do it but not those kinds of times on a "stock engine" unless you took 600# out of an 88 TC. Tell us more, inquiring minds want to know
My guess as to why the T3/T4 didn't perform would be the stock engine maynot be able to flow enough air to wind the turbo up. What are the specs on you T3/T4?

If your IHI was slipping a new clutch, did you have the flywheel resurfaced when the clutch was put in? Did you give the clutch a break in period? Is the pressure plate new?

You can just put a blocking plate where the EGR tube bolts to the upper intake. It's been done but I'm not sure there is any real advantage.

You just answered your own question in the first sentence.
You need the 3" downtube and some porting in the manifold.

The turbo was too big for my stock engine, I am sure it would've done much better on a mild or modified engine, mine is all stock, it's even has flat lobes on the cyl #4, stock downtube. On the clutch, it was brand new clutch set, flywheel has been redone, it's just this sucker has too much torque, it won't slip if you punch it at 4.5k rpm, punch it at 2.5k rpm and it goes up too 4.5k and stays there, I fixed the egr valve, it runs so much better now, thank got I have a star stage 3 clutch in the trunk, I am going to put it in next weekend and I will test it on jun 20th at the track ( super coupe meet, I bring my tc instead of my sc), last time I got real close to 13s, but my clutch started going, this time I'll have the clutch and the drag radials, plus some juice possibly.
Oh btw my tc weight was 3400lb with me in it, so it's pretty heavy still, I have my time slip of running 14.3 at 93mph on tccoa.com and I have a video of my best run on the computer. Thanks a lot, you live you learn, sometimes too big is not always better.

It will need a rebuilt, it blew the seal on the exhaust side. And I know that it's kind of hard to beleive that it ran that fast, that's why I am going to leave it alone for now, oh and my secret is I do exact oppisite what everybody tells me to do, everybody said flowmasters sucked so I put them on and went from 14.7 to 14.3, everybody has their knock sensor unhooked, I have mine plugged in, I listened one time about the turbo and that's where I messed up ( I never went to the track with that turbo though, but seat of the pants told me that it would've been slower in 1/8 mile and possibly 1-2mph better in 1/4 which was not worth of lag and $500, I am going to try nitrious this time and keep my ihi for now, I might put t3 on there later on, but nothing big untill the engine is fully built, I tryed throw money at the car and it didn't make it go any faster, I learned one lesson thought, parts don't make the car go faster, the combo of the parts does, I'd rather have a flat tq and hp than high pick hp, so you live you learn.
