I'm starting to hate my car

Hi Sal-
I hope it is still running well.
I had identical issue, and have some good and bad news for you. I believe the bucking is the relay module mounted near the air filter- it drives the injectors. I switched the module and then switched back to prove to myself it was fixed.
Second issue- and maybe the bad news. I had a TFI failure and had the same parts store situation with a "rebuilt" distributor being available and same price as Motorcraft module. So i turned in my original dizzy and got the car running and drove it home. That dizzy lasted about 500 miles, and the crap iron gear broke teeth off- leading to a 2 year challenge to fix my original engine that had never been out of the car. KEEP ORIGINAL DIZZY AT ALL COST! rebuild or replace any part but that gear is the only one you can trust. I have had 3 aux shafts (including new Esllinger billet), 5 dizzy gears (OEM, Bronze etc.), and i still cant trust my car to go 1000 miles.I have changed oi pump and everything else you can mention... I will be doing Tom Renzo's dizzy mod to see if it extends life, but already strated to build the replacement engine. IIt is a normal while your at it project and I have all the misc parts at powder coating now.
I hope this helps prevent further hatred of your car.

Well it came back. What does the relay module look like? Is it the computer looking thing with a big connection on it that is mounted in a slanted position?
I still have the original distributor in it. Gear teeth look good.

I swapped the module, and it's working well for now.
Thanks Peter.

Also try running the fuel system diagnostics if there are no codes;
