I'm back...and I need some help before I go crazy

Well...I've been gone for a while...had some family issues related to the WTC crap. Been resolved, no casualties here (thank god, couple ppl in question for a while). Anyway, I got my fuel injector harness today, hooked it up and it ran great for about 15 mins (took it to get some air in the tires and some gas). Got back, shut it off and hit up some lunch. Went back out, started it up about an hour later and it didn't run for crap. Just like before...All rough and nasty, no power, and would hardly hold an idle. Like a hole or two wasn't firing (just like before the harness). Any ideas? Please? I mean I tore it apart a couple times and rechecked the harness and it didn't do anything to help. I'm at a total loss here

Give us some more info. What have you tried already? What have you found? Sticky IAC, EGR.

Have you pulled thje plugs to read them and verify that any cylinders are acually not firing?

I did pull the plugs. 1 and 2 were dead. Dunno how the hell the car runs on 2 holes but i guess it does. Everything worked great when it ran right...I mean very strong (as it should be). What its doing: VERY rough. Put it to the floor it takes a good 30 secs to rev to 3000 rpm. Will drive, but max speed is about 10mph wide open, 15psi in 1st. IAC is good, TPS is good, VAM is good. Timing belt didn't slip or anything. Thats what I've got tonight...more work tomorrow and I'll try to eliminate some more.

Have you limited it to a spark, fuel or compression problem yet. Thats the first thing i wound figer out.

Got spark and got compression. That leaves fuel. Either harness, injectors, pump etc. Thing is it ran perfectly and then stopped. For no good reason (didn't drive it hard or anything). Leads me to believe its a wiring issue.

Pin 58 of the EEC feeds injectors 1 & 2, so it is probably a wiring problem. You can connect a test light on the injector connector to see if you have the pulse. If you want to be cheap like me, just take a #194 bulb and stretch the wires out so they will plug into the connector. The bulb should blink while cranking/idleing. You can also check for the pulse at the computer. Connect one lead of the test light to 12v source the other to pin 58. I doubt the injectors both would bad but, if you do have the pulse, check the resistance of the injectors with an ohm meter, each should be 2.5 ohms.

I had a similar problem a car. All it turned out to be was the 2 injectors came loose from the harness. I cleaned the connectors and put them back together and it was fine.

OK...light test says 1 and 2 connectors are bad. Same with the old harness. I guess the problem lies elsewhere. Ideas as to where I should go from here? Does this indicate a wiring issue with the main harness or a bad computer or something?

It may well be the wiring, but at this point I would check for the pulse at pin 58 of the computer. Connect one lead of the test light to 12v source(battery, cigarette lighter, etc)the other to pin 58(tan wire),(pin 59 drives inj 3 & 4 brown/yellow wire). When cranking/idling, there should be a pulse, if is present it is a wiring problem beteween the computer and the injectors, if not the injector driver(transistor) in the computer is probably bad.
