my real good friend, tim, whom ive known since i was 4(like a brother), went into the us army about 2 months ago. he was sent home for 30 days from basic with pneumonia. he got better after only a few days, lucky him, but found out his bike wasnt stored properly. after two new tires, new oil, water and a bettery, his bike was good to go. well, after he rode it to meet his grama for lunch, he made the statement"this is a whole different bike. im gonna have to learn how to ride it all over again", well, he left the restauraunt, and after 2 hours of him not coming home, grama got a phone call. tim had laid his bike down under a van. the van pulled out in front of him, and he had nowhere to go. either he wasnt wearing his helmet, or it was jarred off in the fall, either way, it wanst on when he hit. he is in ICU in jupiter, with sever head trauma, and swelling of the brain. were not sure how this is gonna come out, but when he does get goin again, hell be looking at a 1-2 year recovery time. i wish i had more info, im going down there tomarrow, to see him and gramdma. they are pratically relatives to me and my family, and this is very devastating to me.

please pray for my brother, and his family, and for me and my trip tomarrow, and PLEASE! LOOK OUT FOR MOTORCYCLES! the driver of the van was at fault here. what hurts the most is knowing that tim wasnt doing anything wrong, just in the wrong place...

-i will of course, be unable to help you guys with rubbers for your doors for awhile, ill be rather busy for a few days, maybe even longer. sorry to all of you waiting for parts, please dont send any money!!!

Sorry to hear about your friend. I hope he has a quick recovery.

Being a motorcyle guy myself i know how it is too have idiots all around you. the first month of owning my cbr i spent most of the time avoiding people. They just don't look out for you. Its sad to hear all the horror stories with people on bikes when 90% isn't even their fault at all.. For any other riders out there please be careful

How horrible. Your friend and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hope he makes it, and can resume somewhat of a normal life.

My prayers are with him and his family. Thats one of the reasons why I dont ride or own a motorcyle. My TC is strong and will get dtronger as work progresses on it and thats more than enough excitement for me.
